    if you put it near the back … maybe but if not you should get it refurbished.

    are u sure u have the red ring (3 red lights)? if so… then no it wont help. the red ring has to do with the system’s GPU and pretty much means your 360 has died. if you are still under warranty you can get it repaired/ replaced by microsoft. the only bad thing is it takes like a month to do.
    microsoft = slow

    highly doubtful my friend. the only thing this may do is help cool your xbox down.. so if the ring of death is coming from the xbox overheating then its a possibility that this could help.. but even then the xbox has a fan of its own inside for jsut that reason..

    no expert but ima say i highly dount that a fan next to the 3 6 mafia will aid your dying friend in any way shape or form

    Simply put, no. What needs to be done to fix this problem is to replace the thermal compound that is on the GPU and CPU and then readjust the heat-sinks so they are more stable and less susceptible to coroding which happens when the system overheats, which causes the Red Ring of Death.

    If opening your system sounds scary don’t worry. If you use those new Xbox 360 repair guides you will be shown entirely what to do, and it’s a piece of cake. This is how I learned how to do it, and you’ll be done within an hour.
