My Xbox 360, the regular type, had broken down a few weeks ago, and I am thinking about getting an Xbox 360 Elite. But I still don’t know what is the difference between the regular own and the elite one.

Color and hard drive size. Arcade has no hard drive and is white. Pro (discontinued a long time ago) had either a 20GB or 60GB hard drive depending on when it was made and is white. The elite is black and has a 120GB hard drive.
You aren’t going to see big differences unless you look at the new “slim” 360. It has either a 4GB or 250GB hard drive depending on version. It has a quieter fan and built-in wifi.

The only difference is the standard hard drive size (120GB for the Elite), the color, and the inclusion of an HDMI output on the elite model. The HDMI output is definitely better if you plan on connecting the xbox to a decent sized high definition television or monitor.
The most notable difference – as it may apply to you – has to do with the three-ring (Red Ring of Death) problem that had befallen so many earlier units is supposedly fixed with 360 Elite.

Difference of the Elite is just the black paint job and larger 120 gb hardrive. If you like to save lots of games to your harddrive then you should get an elite, if you do not have to use that much memory u should buy one with a smaller harddrive to save money.
