I just bought a new Bravia HDTV. Now when I hook up my XBox there is about a 1/2 second delay between pressing a button on the controller and having it respond on-screen. Is this familiar to anybody? Is there a way to stop it? I’m using one of those Monster power-strips that reduces the distortion. Does that have something to do with it? Help!

I’d just remove everyone and use the 360 and the controller WITHOUT any add ons. If it works without the strip….. then you know what the problem is.
On my Samsung HDTV you can go to the menu and select a “game mode.” HDTVs usually have a delay even with recieving HD cable. What I had to do is go to my TV’s menu and put the Auxilliary channel into game mode, causing the pixels to be generated faster and elimating lag. Check your menu to see if you can find any option like this.
sony has built in code into their lcds, it knows your using a 360 not a ps3 so it messes with you and gets you mad at the 360 and makes you buy a ps3. jk. ne way. have you checked the settings on your 360? go into the dashboard and then system(i think, damn i cant remember) then display. to change the out put settings to. hdtv lcd. and resolution settings . 720p or 1080i. try this it should help. if youve already done this. try that power strip thing. although i dont think that has any thing to do with it. i dont think the bravia lcds have a game mode like the samsungs. i have a toshiba lcd. and i have no problem with this at all. ne way, good luck.
