There are Ethernet slots in the router but i dont know if i can connect them in there. Where can i connect the Ethernet cord in the modem? If so how do i do it?

The router should have 5 ports on it, LAN 1-4 and WAN
WAN goes to the modem, LAN ports go to your other devices.
what kind of router?
you have a wireless router? well you could plug your Ethernet cable in the back of the router or you could but a adapter for your x box (there around 100$ but you can find some good deals on ebay)
If you’re using your router simultaneously, then you need to plug your Xbox in to the router, if it has ethernet ports.
If your router doesn’t have ethernet ports, then you need to unplug the router from the modem and use the ethernet port on the modem. If you don’t want to go that way, You can (a) purchase a wireless piece for your xbox that will connect to your router or (b) you can buy a different router with wired/wireless capabilities.

ok if u have just the xbox live u need to go to a game store like gamestop or something and by a live pack but if u got the xbox 360 just go to meijer’s Kmart or target and by a live card and put a the modem cables to the xbox live or 360 and do a connection test and when they do the test and it did not work turn the system and the modem off turn the modem on then the system and do the test over and if it said test complete just enter the number and letters on the back of the card but this is the hit about being on xbox live when u by a live card u got a short time to be on live so look at the card before u buy it.just follow this link so u know what am talking about
