How do you fix the Xbox 360 Freezing Problem without voiding warranty?

My Xbox 360 keeps freezing and it isn’t giving me any red rings or other errors, it just freezes. Now I’m 99% sure that it’s just due to overheat because the weather changed from 40 to 80 in a week where I live and before the weather changed it rarely froze. Now it freezes all the time. If anyone can give me step by step instructions or a video I would greatly appreciate it.

you can buy a cooling unit that is set up in the back the 360. they are usually thrid party attatchments for it but it will get the job done. check your local gamespot for a fan.

try to keep your exbox at the same constat temprature as much as you can

Do not put a cooler on it for gods sake. If you see youtube videos, Nyko coolers burn into the xbox 360 and make it worse, and not covered my warranty.

If you have your 1 year warranty left (check xbox 360 manufactor date near the barcode, or the box) you can fill out a form at xbox.com and microsoft will send you a box and prepared shipping so they can repair it.

Takes about 3 weeks so in the meantime you could buy an arcade model or something (you dont ship the hard drive) and play it until it gets back. Then return the arcade model.

Ok well this might sound crazy but the same thing just happened to me. What you need to do is take off your hard drive and game disc then put a rag or a towel behind the fan of your 360 and let it run for about 30 min or so. Put hard drive and game back in and it should run perfect.

As bad as it may sound I had that same problem weeks ago and about 2 weeks ago my 360 got the rings and it sucked. So you can mess it up even more with the towel or the cooler. Or you can save some time visit http://Marzzie89.gamerbots.hop.clickbank.net and for a few dollars have it up and running.

Freezing is actually an early symptom that the system could be heading toward the red lights error. Make sure that you let your console rest after a couple of hours.

Also make sure that you leave plenty of ventilation around the system so that it will not overheat and keep the room cool. All other fixes will require opening the console thus voiding the warranty.

Also do not use a third party cooler as they also void the warranty. Not many options, but hopefully these tips will help you.
